92 GXE - Drivability Issue
Guys,
Replaced injectors, engine coolant temp sensor, O2 sensor, pcv valve, and fuel filter about 1 month ago. Now, when idling such as in a parking lot when looking for a space, engine will begin to go dead. If accelerator is depressed, engine will smooth back out. If accelerator is not depressed, engine will eventually die. Where should I look first? Idle air control valve, Mass Airflow Sensor, or somewhere else?
Also, my daughter reports that sometimes while traveling on the interstate, 60 to 70 mph, a large noise/vibration will occur from the engine compartment and last up to 45 seconds sometimes. She said the car does not seem to lose power or exhibit any other symptoms other than the noise/vibration. I have not been able to get the car to reproduce the event, but it happens every couple of weeks with her. It doesn't matter if the climate control is on or off, it has happened both ways.
Thanks for any suggestions.

There is a power steering sensor on the high pressure hose area behind the passenger side strut tower...This part sends a signal to ecu to speed the idle up when you are at idle to help compensate for the power steering....
It may be bad...![got me](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/ne_nau.gif)
Not sure on the vibration...Maybe a bad cv axle....

It sounds like you have a major vacuum leak since it is dying at idle unless the accelerator is pressed. I would check all you lines due to tha age of these cars. Check out Wiking's page on IAC http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/14. It's like an online FSM for the most part.

Mine used to die on me when I first got it and would idle real rough...but got that lil screw on the IACV and it fixed the stalling and some of the rough idling but still to this point it idles a lil rough...
