A Little Problem.....

I have an 89 max with the bose speakers in it, I've bypassed the front speakers and everything sounds fine. I installed a Panasonic head unit and have been using that for about 2 days, I get a LOUD HIGH PITCH SQUEAL out of the right front speaker, does this have anything to do with the bose system at all ???

Thanks

Troy.

Hell, sounds like a fun roadtrip but I got a freakin friend with a Beretta telling me my car wont handle a 300-600 mile one way trip. Is he crazy or what?

As for the high pitch noise I my guess would be that its the speakers or amps as BOSE is supposedly working at different ohms, I believe Bose is 2 ohms while the rest is 4 dont know if thats true but can anyone pitch in some help?

I believe there might be a write up look it up in the stickies on top of the forum.

I got my new head unit, take a look....

Not the best pic, but you get the idea. I'm sure I'll take some more shots when the juice is all hooked up. It's not quite done just yet....

I'm sure I'll take some more pics later, this is just one I popped off the other day in between shooting some boats for work. At the same time, I don't want to give away all my secrets, ya know.

The cupholder is just a block of high desity poly propylene foam. One of these days I'll cover it (have some black vinyl stashed away) - I made it on my lunch break several years ago when I had just gotten my first max. It's not the prettiest, but it's functional and gets the job done.

It makes me a happy maxima owner to know that the 3rd genners know their audio.

HU: Clarion HX-D10
Front: Dayton Ref 8" Mids, Vifa Tweets (Passive XO)
Sub: Shocker Extreme II
Amps: Monitor I 4.75, DEI 1500D

Havn't heard these Daytons yet, they're replacing my Illusion ND8.1's. I'm still in the process of making doors for the Mids, nearly done, I'll take some pics soon. The sub is going in about a 6.5^3 box at about 35hz(maybe 30)
