The dude is a ricer, has the same additude, doesn't contribute, talks crap about auto maxis, the really nices cars on here like tripleg's. Someone thinks that you can't put anything over 15's on for wheels. He's another corey blade that we have banned several of his accounts.

I think this is a valid poll question. As for me, I say let him roam for awhile, see if he gets his acts together (vanskaterfreak comes to mind, no offense dude.)

And mind you that's a two way street. It's not backnblack's "ricerness" that we should be concerned about. He's a Maxima owner and thus, welcome here. We can't ban him because his goals with his max are not the same as our own. But it's his rudeness and argumentative behavior that i feel is pushing the line. But should a mod look at that for a reason to ban him, all the people (i'm sure myself included) who argue with him over this stuff are just as guilty. We could all benefit from a little civility here.

Well it’s not our decision to make. I know this guy gets under your skin though because I have never seen you react to a poster like this guy.

He can state his opinion about not liking others cars just as we are about his. I don’t think he has gotten personal though and that is what will get you banned.

The truth is the 3rd gen forum has gotten way out of hand since I have been back the past couple of months.

I have had fun picking on him a little but the flaming on the 3rd gen to the newbies has gotten out of hand imo. Heck even newer members just past the newbie status are flaming people now.

It really seems as no one wants to be helpful anymore.

Auto maximas are a lot slower than 5 speeds, so it depends whether an individual is into racing or just looking nice(I know that there are a few fast autos). backNblack is a conformist who does not contribute anything, and wants us to do the searching for him, however I don't think that contributing should be a requirement for membership. I think he should be banned because he is an annoying, lazy post *****.

those were just too big im sorry!
i hate big wheels, and automatic transmissions.
and someone please explain how im a ricer. lmao id love to hear that one.
YOu call me a ricer, but you didnt call someone with 40lbs of neons all over there car.
please guys chill. Im an opinionated person, i admit, and I do ask alot of questions, but only to learn the answers, I just dont want to do any guess work or buy something or do something that others have done and have had no luck at all with, i spend my money wisely and have no room for error or waste.

im on a tight budget, but im able to do the stuff i want to my car slowly but surely. ive owned 2 max's and my brother has one as well. I hate automatic's they are horrible. An automatic maxima is a good daily driver, and modifying it is pointless unless you have money for a 5spd conversion.

IM not saying my car is uber fast, but its quick. And nothing compared to what it will be. I have another motor to run on while I rebuild the current motor and get the head work done, and get it ready.
then after breaking the motor in, and a few months down the road, ill complete my turbo project.
if you met me in person, or saw my car in person you wouldent call me a ricer, you would know I HATE ricers and 85% of all 4cly cars.
only thing they are good for is daily drivers, and not modifying them.

Sure the maxima was not ment for a 1/4 car, but that does not mean with the right time and patience and some money it cant be done. I love the 3rd gen max's, comforatable, and it fits me like a glove, I love the feeling of them.

Backnblack....If you like your car as much as you say you do and would like to be a part of this forum[without being flamed about every little question you have],i seriously urge you to donate the 20 spot and get the search function...This $20 for the search is the best "mod" i have done to my car...This forum is has answered just about every question you have about these cars SEVERAL times in past threads,hence the constant flaming....

Please donate..

And when you do post a question,it helps if you read the answers posted by the senior members,and take their advice...They[we] do know what they are talking about....

J30 is the chasis code for 3rd gen Maxima's

J30 = 1989-1994
A32 = 1995-1999
A33 = 2000-2003

too lazy to look up the other gens

Well there you go, I'm ignorant too. I knew the 4th and 5th gen, so i guess i always assumed we were A31. And a J30's an Infiniti. SO it confused the heck out of me. And now I know better.

It happens a lot, most of the time with coilovers. People see A31 and think they are designed for this car. There is an A31 Cefiro in Japan but it is RWD and is not the same platform.

Maybe some of our moderators need to start warning members about excessive flaming. A little joking is OK, but Michael is right that there has been an excessive amount of it lately.

Also, there are a large variety of opinions on this board. Everyone should be entitled to their own opinions. If you can contribute to a thread, please contribute. Otherwise, find another thread to post in. This is a huge forum, with lots of topics.

BackNblackj30 may annoy some of you, but a lot of his posts are legit, like the yellow foglight thread. He should pay the $20 to search, since a lot of questions could be easily answered, but that's his choice and he should expect some semi-rude responses to questions that have been repeated a lot during the last several years.

1 - don't ask to ban a member. there's an ignore button...if you don't want to see someone's post..then use it.

2 - backnblack - as the other members have requested...please use the seach. you can use the free search or donate and use the org's search. also you can have your opinions...but respect other's opinions also. why does your wheels not fit? because the offset is wrong and the tire size is wrong. from your experience you concluded that anything over 15s will not fit....does that make sense to you? you think you know your stuff but from your posts you don't know as much as you think you do. the old timers here have been through it all. look at the join dates and the threads. we have been here for a long time and pretty much have seen all the posts that you made.

3 - stop PWing!
