temp gauge + maybe odo problem.

often times when i'm driving, ill hit a bump and my temp gauge will just cut off, and drop to its resting point.....that is obviously a problem with the electrical connection. But lately, when im driving (mainly in 3rd or 4th gear) it will shoot all the way up to the top of the mark, and then kinda move from the uppermost point, to about 75% up randomly....the temperature of the engine cannot possibly change that fast, and ive checked the coolant and everything seems fine.

what could cause this?

oh and also, if the temp gauge shuts off, i just smack the top of the dash and it goes back to working like normal..... and the odometer sometimes works, and sometimes doesn't, any thoughts?

just kidding....i think im about to garage the black max so i can slowly rebuild it the way i want, without having to be done immediately.

dunno yet.

IMO you should pull the motor-n-tranny and find a good body to put it in..

From what i remember of the pics you posted, that thing is a lost cause bodywise...

not necessarily a lost cause bodywise......just gonna weld in a new quarter panel, if i can ever get the time to do it. and i have the front fender from my other max im gonna swap out, and the door from my other max. as for the side skirt, just gonna have to buy a new one.

only problems im having right now is finding time to do all the stuff.
