are these JDM tyte, y0?
I installed the Lexus capsules on my car recently.
They don't fit in our housings properly (the capsules are too deep), so I butchered mine up with a dremel and some baling wire to get them to work. My glass was already rock chipped pretty good, so I didn't care too much.
I have another set of fog brackets and I have been planning on going with some quality aftermarket fogs, too. Eventually, I will get around to buying them. I rarely drive my car at all, let alone at night, so it's not something I need to rush.
Honestly, I do like yellow fogs at night (especially in rain and snow), I am just not much of a fan of the yellow housings. With the capsules, you can barely tell there is any yellow there in the daytime. I don't recommend them for 3rd gen stock fogs. If you want yellow, either go aftermarket or get some JDMs from Harbor Freight.

First, I took out the metal circular piece with the square hole that the bulb goes into and the wire holder. Took a bit of bending, but it's not too hard. I thought this would be easier that heating up the housing and seperating the glass. You have the same area to work with, either way.
Second, I pushed forward the metal bar (the one that blocks the bulb from direct view) and still not enough room. I bent it all the way to the fog light glass.
I still wanted to try to get the yellows to fit, so I took a dremel and enlarged the hole for the metal backing, then glued the capsule to the metal piece from the stock housing. I took apart the capsule and just used the yellow glass, not the metal that is on it.
Then I used some wire to hold it in place. The set up is pretty snug to the back of the housing, since it is a little bit long, so it doesn't go anywhere.
It is very ghetto, IMO, but it works. I think over time, the yellow glass is going to break due to it actually touching the metal bar that I described in the first part. Enough bumps and potholes will eventually take them out, I am sure. Plus, it is going to be difficult to change the bulbs when they burn out because it is hard to get everything to fit and I used wire to hold it together.
Like I said, I don't recommend this. I won't be able to put my fog lights back together correctly without further ghetto modding them. If I want to stick with stock fogs, I can just buy new glass housings from Courtesy. I will probably just mount some aftermarket ones to my spare set of brackets later on.
