Fuel Capacity Question
#1
Ok,
Everywhere I have looked it says our cars come with an 18.5 gallon fuel tank.. Whenever I fill up at the local gas station it almost always stops at 14.6 maybe 15 gallons.. I'm like WTF??? Is there something wrong with my gauge?? Has anyone else experienced the same thing..

Yes. Cause when you are filling up, there will always be a couple of gallons in the tank.
But if you really want to know, drive until the tank runs dry. Then push the car to the nearest gas station. Then fill up. Let me know how many gallons you get.

How about you keep a 2gallon container with gas in it for when you run out.
I figure I got about 50 miles left when the light comes on. Thats pretty conservative too, I think. It only lets me put in 15 at the most too..so..18.5-15=3.5. 3.5gallons*20mpg=70miles. Thats just what I came up with. I use 50 just in case Im wrong or Im off slightly.
