I don't think I have any pics with the whole car in it, it has a crack on the drivers side in the front bumper. it's about a 10 inches long. my license plate # is 292mst.
Thank you much!

Hopefully, the Seattle guys will keep an eye out for it.

Please call the police and be sure it gets on the hot list. Like Jeff said, Aztec red 3rd gens aren't very common and are fairly easy to spot.

As most of us know, our cars aren't particularly valuable for stock parts. Most people either want a joyride or steal it to take it somewhere safer where they can take out valuables like the stereo and your tools.

IIRC, when Jeff's was stolen they just took the wheels (anything else, Jeff?) and left the car sitting on the rotors.

Also, turn off your caps lock Val...

Man that's rough, sorry.
Boulder isn't the most dangerous place in the country for a maxima, but I'm thinking about pulling all the tools out now cause ya never know.
Hope ya find it in tact.

Nope. Either got caught before they could take anything else or too stupid to know. Not quite sure how someone ignores 13" rotors and fully polished 4 piston calipers staring them in the face while removing the front wheels but who knows?

I think they planned to take the stereo stuff as the amps were unhooked.

Well, I have a Liability with uninsured motorist, but no, I didn't think paying over $800 every 6 months (both me and my wife) was worth it. I won the car on eBay, from some charity for $1575. The way they described it sounded much worse, and the pics looked terrible. The only reason I bid it up so hi was because I'm an idiot. When we went to pick the car up. though, it ran like a champ, ecxept the VTC's knocking. I spent about $400 replacing VTC's, knock sensor, o2 sensor, water pump (which I was trying to replace, but it wouldn't fit without pulling out the engine, thank you NAPA; thank God ours looked like it's been replaced already). Car had 124K miles, outside looked perfect, ecxept that rip in the front bumper, and the fog light broken, and a spot of clear coat came off the spoiler. Inside looked great as well, just needed a wash, and the leather on the steering wheel looked all f..ked up. There was also a crack in the sunroof glass, which didn't go all the way through. Also those triangular air vents were broken, and I just replaced them. What hurts the most, is 3 days (I diddn't spend all tree days from morning 'till night) replacing the VTC's & knock sensor (BTW, I was drank 2 out of 3 days, at least the most of those 2 days. You see, my family is russian, so am I, I guess that explains it all. My wife, who is pure american (3rd & 5th generation German) helped me out a lot. Espesially when I would loose tools. anbd stuff like that. For exemple, I was missing my torque reance for a day aans a half, 'till she found it sitting in the middle of theb motor.
So, lets all give a hans to our wifes, girlfriend, whatever, who go with our sh*t, and put up with it, and let us spend all these money and time on our cars (I spent well over, I don't know, 8, 9, 10 K on my Talon, and she loved to drive it, on the rear chances that we did; and didn't mindc eating McDonalds for weeks, just so my car could run anywhere close to 12.5 seconds) But I know that she appreciates it, thoiugh. Because when I take some punk young kid at 70 MPH on 35MPH turn, and then leave hi, in the dust so quick, he wouldn't know what hit him. I have bitten 6 Corrvets, including one brand new (without licebse plates yet), and one which was at least '94 (in the rain), sooooo badly they took the next exit just to avoid looking in my eyes. The only 2 cars I did get bitten in my DSM, were Acura w/R budge, but I gwear my turbo was blown, didn't finn out 'yill later that day. And the 2nd one was a CRX, he kept up with me from the very beggining of the freway, and when the time came, he flew over me like ...whatever that beautuifull bird is. I know that m6y Talon w/big16G & 2.5 exhust, and stock intercooler, ran late 13th on crappy tires. With ported 20G, and 3" exzhaust all the way through w/test pipe (past emmisions, by thge way), w/blocked EGR valve, with K&N and custom cold box, 660 injectors, S-AFC, 225 fuel pump(or was it 255), ported head, both ported monifolds, I don't remember the brand of trhe manual BC, but it was MAJOR BRAND, clutch, gages, etc, etc, etc,
Tell youb one thing, my wiffe kept saying, slow down, or let me get out, but her friend wanted more speed.
Tell you one thing, when some kid came to buy it, eben with most of theb mods gone, he bought after the first test drive.

That sucks your car got jacked. Thank god I keep mine in the garage when I'm not in it. Another plus side is, there is only 1 other Maxima like mine around here, and mine looks like mint condition compared to this one. Why do car thieves always go for the imports?

I could say FULL CAVERAGE IF MINE WAS ONLY $200 more a year. But I have to include my wife on it, with her 3 accidents, and a couple of speeding tickets of mine. I'm not gonna inform you in my total finantial situation, ecxept that, I used to own at least 2 cars under 5 years old each, and a couple of them ran under 13 second 1/4 mile, can you say "12.5 second 1/4 mile", can you? If US government weren't sitting on my a** so tight, that it cost me about $40K in last 4 1/2 years, and my wife didn't have a kidney problems, which cost us over $25K a year, can you say "I have enough money to buy food" after that? Man, the only reason I posted a tread here, so I could get a response from people who understand. You don't, and when life hits you as hard as it has me, we'll talk, but the irony of this whole thing is, nothing serious happens to the little ...... like you. Sorry to the rest of you guys, but this just really pissed me off. Hope the most of you feel the same.

Hrmm.. this makes me a little apprehensive about leaving my Aztec red 92 5-speed sitting in a parking lot while I'm floating around the Atlantic... Atleast the parking lot's on a military installation. But sometimes that doesn't mean anything....

Jeff's right though, Aztec Red VE5s aren't very common. Should work to your benefit. My wife had her Sentra stolen from right in front of our apartment, police finally recovered it the day Progressive sent off the check to pay it off. We went and looked at the car and the only way I could identify it was the dent that I put in the bumper from hitting a jack rabbit at 90mph. The car had different plates and all sorts of stuff inside, all from other stolen cars. It actually made me feel better knowing we got hit by professionals rather than a group of teenage joyriders, though.

it's amazing how often "full coverage" comes up when someone gets their car stolen. you don't need full coverage, you need theft coverage, which is cheap compared to collision.
