VTCs ???

I am looking at 92-94 maximas. I read a lot of people always talking about the VTC's. I have had a few maximas 97-98-2003-97. Never had to worry about that. Looking for a daily driver and need to know what to look for and how much would it cost to fix. Is there a sticky on this or can someone break it down for me. Also I read in Consumer Guide "Coolant leak: Coolant may leak from the front of the cylinder head, which may appear to be a head gasket, but comes from a threaded plug in the front of the head. (1990-94)" Has this happened to people. I appreciate all your help.

thanks

the VTC rebuild is usually more than your car is worth.....usually happens to high mileave VE30E motors

Haven't heard of the coolant leak problem.
There is VTC stuff ALL OVER this forum.
Check the stickies for starters.

don't worry about the VTCs unless you pay someone to do your work for you.
if they are making noise try grounding them first if that doesn't help then plan on rebuilding them.
