you want support, I'll tell you the secret

1. provide us with viable proof you are actually going to do something. Don't be another retard who will have an uber fast turbo 3rd gen. Just saying you are going to do something means absolutely nothing.

2. buy parts, install parts, take pics, make thread.
if you go out of order people generally have fun seeing how creative they can be.

3. no money, no care.

Well damn, kinda asking for it on this response. You ask some of the stupidest questions that I've seen on this site. We don't bash you because you are new, we bash you because you are an ignorant punk. You ask for advice and then don't follow it. Like people are telling you, just do it then, and finally, STOP CALLING YOUR PARENT'S GARAGE YOUR SHOP; they worked long and hard for that house, and for you to degrade their efforts by calling part of their house yours is just plain disrespectful. Get a Honda, and good luck in life.

If he thinks that he will plug in a 300zx ECU and it will work... he is SORELY mistaken! I'VE DONE THIS! Just b/c it will plug in, does NOT mean that it will work.

Yes, I was able to use a z32 ECU in my VE Auto, and yes it did plug in. But did it work without some soldering and modification? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to do a lot of work to the ECU in order to attempt to even use the stock z32 program. Then after those modifications, it still didn't run smoothly. That was most likely due to the injector void and blast settings were severely off after I had to swap in the z32 MAFS. Oh, I barely got it to run AFTER I DRASTICALLY altered the z32's stock ECU progmram via the Zemulator.

Will it work for you by just plugging it in? I will have to say "absolutely not!".

You also forget that he has a VG which will be even more different.

I didn't forget. I was just relating my personal experience with the VE and z32 ECU. I just had to put in my two cents since I'm the only one that has tried converting from VE to z32 ECU.

But, when I've looked at the VG30E ECU, the z31 might be the closest to it... but it's still way different. Severe modifications will need to be done regardless. We are all in agreement here.
