Anyone use Polarg M4s in their SE guage clusters

Anyone have any pics? I was just wondering if this was brighter and looked better than stock. I searched but noticed that most people use cheap autozone bulbs that faded out. I liked DanNY's guage lights but I think he used LEDs. So do you guys think Polargs would be ideal if I want a super white/ hint of blue look? Also if I wanted to use red bulbs which should I go with(brand wise)? I ask this because some red tinted bulbs appear emit pink light.

Thanks guys

How did the Polargs look under there? Was it overall better than stock? Was it bright as well. Also how many do I need? Is it (4) 194 bulbs? Do these 4 bulbs include the ones I need for the needle? I was thinking of Polargs on the guages and red bulbs for the needles. Is that possible?

Also Brian, did you find the parts? lol I promise to pick them up asap.

Which LEDs did DAnNY use? I don't want any other LED if I were to go the LED route. Just don't want to order something and later deal with the cold spots.

2k3- I have no idea what bulbs were used. I bought it that way.
I do know that doesn't light up as nice as my van's red gauges do.
Eventually I'll find those brackets, just not a priority right now.

Dan used LEDs I believe. I may be off but I think thats what he used. From the pics I got it looks that way because there are a few lighter spots than what the rest of it is. He either used the multi LED bulb or the inverse LED bulb. I used to know but its been so long since I saw his post on what he had (I know he posted it once...maybe that was someone else) I cant remember.

Here is a pic I know he posted

It appears to have the same bright spots as the bulbs I used (big inverse LED) but his is much brighter than mine was (I used blue).

I used the big inverse bulb from superbrightleds that someone posted earlier.

i used white inverted cone leds and they came out more blue than white. i also tested it in the door light to see if i got the right bulbs. they were very white and bright on the doors not in the cluster.

hey just wanna put my 2 cents inm make sure that if youuse LED they have a wide angle of diffusionm otherwise they would only light up small parts of the cluster , the best ones i found had and angle of about 45 degreesm it usually says so on the packaging when you get them. The other thing if you use the LED in the door lights they will appear brigther than the cluster because of the plastic cover that is graded thus it diffuses the light more. If you want to see how it looks like here's the link to my previous post :

have fun and use super high intensity BLUE LEDS lol

Well like I said the used the inverted cone type in blue. Mine looked like Dans as far as the hot and cold spots go but were not as bright. They were bright enough for driving and I thought they looked good but Dan's looks a lot brighter than mine. I am not sure about the multi bulb though.

Heck they arent expensive...just buy both kinds and what you dont use keep as spares or sell to someone else. I mean your out an extra $6...thats worth it to me to see which ones are better.

Polarg B1 Hybrid's

Well here's my 194 Bulbs that I bought, they are Polarg B1 Hybrids. I've experimented with many different bulbs, and these have definetely turned out the best. They are about 25-35% brighter than the stock bulbs, and much whiter, with a very slight blue tint. I bought two packs of (2) for $12 each. They install in minutes, & there is no hotspots at all! They cant match to LED's, but they are pretty close, and pretty much the best you can do with bulbs. These pictures are identical to how they look in person, I got the white balance, and the brightness on the camera dead on! I wanted them to look realistic, cause you can really decieve the look & brightness of the bulbs with the camera. These pics are 95% accurate. Hope They Help!

So is this LED (3rd led from the top of the page) with an inverted tip? It doesn't say anything. But the one on top of it says it's inverted but only comes in yellow.

come on guys...its pretty obvious that is an iverted LED...look about middle way of the LED and you will see the cone going into it. Again whether its the one Dan used or not I am unsure...if you search he says his were really really expensive so you might PM him for more answers.

I just know I used the blue ones and it did have some spots that were lighter than others and were not that bright (probably because they were blue).

That's why I said the pics are (95%) accurate, they actually have a slight blue tint, rather than the purple you see. But these pics are very very close, as to the color you see.
