need help replacing brake lines under car...

Hi everyone,

I'm relatively new to Maxima's and this forum and I need your assistance. I have a 92 SE 5 speed with about 125K on it.

The hard brake lines that run under the car have rusted out. I figure that I'll have to cut out the section that's rusty and then replace that particular. I've never done this before and was wondering if anyone ever done this before on their car? If so, what diameter of brake line I'll need?

I see the hard brake lines for sale in the autoparts store but am not sure which size I'll need.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I would just replace the whole line...The dealership has them already prebent...IIRC they are not that expensive either...

I'd have to replace the whole thing from the master cylinder to the back of the car? Hmmm...I'll call my dealer connection and see what the cost is.

Thanks for the advice!!!

I just did mine last summer and it wasnt too bad for the lines.... Getting under there and replacing them without ruining them was the hard part.
