Max not starting

Hey all, me again. Okay Saturday after coming from a movie my Max would not start. I figuered it probally was the starter, because everything else was on. So I proceeded to push the car down a little hill and then jumped in and poped the cluthch and it started. I drove about 4 miles to my crib. Parked, and tried to start again, and it was not starting. I was convinced it was my starter. Okay well next morning, something told me to check it out before going to work. Well to my amazement it started right up, and has been every since! Somebody pls tell me WTH happened??? I think it did this a month ago after letting it sit for 2 hrs.

Starters tend to die a intermitent slow death on these and may other cars....

Take it off and have a auto parts store[autozone/advanced auto] test it for you...

My guess is the ignition switch. Especially if you turn the key and all the idiot lights light up and it will not even crank. Next time it does this, wiggle it around and if it starts, theres your problem.

I'll second a dying starter. I had an old jeep CJ-7 that the starter would crap out at will. I'd have to slide underneath it and wack it with a hammer a few times and it would usually fire up.

Check the cables as well, tightness and corrosion.

Okay, I'll check my cables. It did it again yesterday. I let it sit fir an hour, went back to it, and it started right up. Somebody else told me to clean the battery terminals

Did you get any clicking noise (from the solenoid) when you turned the ignition key?
