Maxima Rims

Hey Peoples
just wondering the specs on the maxima rims.
and if somehting of this size would fit and work nicely.
(not car is slightly lower than stock with harder suspention setup)

Rims are 17inches 2 are 8 wide, 2 are 9 wide, not sure of offset.
(have no tyres currently)

Stock maxima rims are 15x6 IIRC. The front rims you have may fit without rubbing but the rears you are gonna need some type of spacer. They may be a little too wide. Check the stickies above, I am not sure it the tire calculator is in it or not but check them.

spacers will most likely do you no good. a 9 inch wide rim i think is gonna be hard pressed to fit under that wheel well. not to mention staggered on a fwd car is teh ghey!

Could trim the fenders and camber them right.

But I agree... Staggered wheels..... only if their g35's.

how so?

If your just cruising and not hitting the track, theres nothing wrong with running a staggered setup.

maximas already understeer pretty good. add a staggered setup (which you cant rotate) then have fun with more understeer. i dont care if you do it...i wont though.

Actualy its not uncommon for FWD cars to run a stagered setup, but you have to put the larger tires up front. This helps reduce understeer!

WTF gives you that impression? A wider foot print drastically causes more understear.

And if you put them in the rear in fwd car... That creates not alot of drag, but more.

uhhh, I hope youre trying to be funny? Pick up a Sport Compact Car magazine, they have a few of their own FWD cars that run staggered setup for the purpose of reducing understeer. If you have larger tires up front, and skinnier ones in the back, which one is going to reach the limit of adheasion first?

Agreed, which is why I wouldnt call it common, but instead I said "its not uncommon"

got to pick up a sport compact car magazine, did not know a staggered setup is used to reduce understeer for a front wheel drive car. Thought it will increase the understeer a bit.

Hi, it was 40 or 30 not sure, but it was 5 off the original offset.

I had a local tire place to stick em on, and check if they would fit. They reassured me that even 19" with low profile (35) would fit a maxima easily, with original suspension.

Ive been driving around with my 18 inch for a couple of days, and everything seems fine. (I might be rubbing a tiny bit when I do a full swing to the left, I suspect my almost broken suspension.)

Anyways, getting new shocks and springs later this month. Also gonna post some pictures of my car, just gotta rid it of some rust
