My car was stollen

Tonight was a depressing night. I have a mint 1992 maxima SE with G35 rims, lowered, silver color , full tint. Tonight i went for my birthday dinner(i know!!) and took my girlfriends car, apon returning home i noticed my car was gone . Ive never been so livid in my life. It was stolen 08/05/06 between 6:00 pm to 9:00pm on the corner of 6th and pine(one block east of burrard). The license number is 085 EMG. if you see it please beat the person then call the police. or contact me. Thanks for your eyes and your sympathy.

ouch, that's a rare color for '92, plus mint condition and g35 wheels... i'd be on the lookout for g35 wheels on craigslist if i were you. i'll tell you if i see any suspicious ads. or if i see the car. i doubt they'll drive the car down here though. sorry to hear that, that's one of the nicest and rarest colors these cars ever had.

Are you in Vancouver, BC, like your info says?

Post something up on www.northwestnissans.com or www.nwmaxima.com

I hope you have a picture, that is always the biggest help.

There have been several 240sx's that have been spotted and recovered thanks to postings on NWNissans. It's a pay site, but I think there are some areas you can post in for free. I know you can in the classifieds.

Good luck. If I go to any big cities (Portland or Seattle) I will keep my eye out for it. It's not often that I see a modded 3rd gen. Most likely, the cops will call you in a week and your car will be at the end of a road sitting on the rotors with anything of value (stereo, personal items) missing. These cars aren't really desireable for body or engine parts like Hondas or 240s.

I actually went to the NWnissan meet, im kicking myself because i dont have pictures, i just finished the work and was about to do photoshoot. I am indeed in vancouver. I had 2 different locknuts on each rim and the keys is at my house. It was mint, i just spent 11 hours driving back and forth all around vancouver to burnaby to surrey to find it, i feel like piece of me is missing. Infact my car stands out so much because the G35 rims matched the Factory paint so looked monochromatic. What a birthday =(

What the **** is wrong with people these days!!! I actually work not too far from there, I always thought it seemed like a safe neighbourhood. I wonder how they got the car, since our cars have immobolizers from the factory, I guess it must have been a tow job. Anyways, really sorry to hear that, and I really hope it turns up ok. I'll definitely keep an eye out.

Ok guys, this ****s right out of a twilight zone episode. i spent 11 hours driving around last night in surrey and new-west looking for my car. i go to sleep and in the morning i receive a call from my best friend. Hes at the gym we both frequent and hes convinced im already there, i tell him im sitting at home to which he remarks" your cars parked in our gym parking lot" literally 7 blocks from my house". But wait, it gets weirder, i ****ing book it over there and low and behold my car is parked(reversed in no less) in the parking lot, completely locked. I open the door and on my passenger seat is a bouquet of flowers and a silver locket(WTF). My car smells nicer then when i left it, the locks havn't been tampered with at all. So the police come and say that someone around were i live has a skeleton key(no idea) that can unlock most everything from nissan. MY car is left mint only thing gone is a new white hat and my germany world cup jacket. Im really happy but at the same time im completely confused, like bunch of hot girls had an orgy in my car and left it for me. The best part though is i have a pop can that the top twist off so you can store things inside(stash spot), they tried to open the pop to drink it and couldnt open it so they left it and my 100 cd's.

oooooo thats the scariest story I ever heard.. Skeleton key stealing Maximas

Good to hear you got her back safe and sound.. What in the world was the thief thinking? I actually have a friend with a little brother that use to have this "skeleton key" aka nissan master key that can open any Nissan for certain years. I come out of the place we were eating at and see him sitting inside with the engine running.. I feel so safe after that

No when i found my car at the gym I called the police. They made me leave the car were it was parked and staked out the alley for couple of hours because it looked like the person that stole it might be coming back to drive it away. When no one showed, they towed it to icbc to asses damages. Its just a real mind **** because it was right under my nose. The back seats had been unhhoked in attempt to get into the trunk(Thank god for door mounted trunk release) and about quarter tank of gas was gone so it was driven.I also think left strut mount might have got ****ed(fast speedbump maybe?)as it was making clunk when getting towed. Other then that locks and ignition are fine since they used key. No interior or exterior damage and i still got my rims. Now i need to explain this to icbc without it looking like scam since this time truth is stranger then fiction.

that is why no matter what car I own I always have a hidden kill switch in it, because of people who have skeleton keys. As far as I know they are mainly used legitimately by repo men if they cannot get the owner to fork over the keys. Can never be too cautious

A killswitch to the battery? Wouldn't that cause issues with the ECU or is that not really an issue with the 3rd gen

Glad you got it back. Odd that they steal a car, then drive to the GYM?

I suppose if you are curious, see if the flowers have a shop name. Maybe they can trace who purchased them.

they are lose flowers, like some crappy dried hippy bouquet. no wraping. The loquet is cheap trinket from vending machine. Im going to get icbc to change my locks or pay for immobilizer because someone having a key to my car is unerving. I got my baby back all that matters =) I think ir was some joyriders, It was fireworks night in vancouver so like 300,000 people in and around my neighbourhood that night. The parking lot for my gym one of only covered parking lots of an alley around my neighbourhood so if they got spooked it makes sense.

gosh looks like i dont have to beat anyone up anymore lol

thats so awsome you got your car back WAHOO made me jump outta my seat

lol thats some crazy crapo-LAH there, that must deff be nervewrecking knowing that someone has access to your car while your sleeping... lol

when i was reading about the flowers and loquet part i thought it was one of those people that stole a car ( i read this in the news from NY one time ) and the person found their car and there was like... a ring worth A LOT of money or something like that :-/

better keep it safe

also wouldnt it if you kill the fuel pump the people would want to turn it on and TRY to make it start and burn the starter...

that's really wierd. maybe someone just played a trick on you or something. i doubt it was a lesbian orgy, but you might want to sniff your seats to be sure. as far as skeleton keys go, my car's key hole is so wasted, any 3rd gen key will open it.

That was something i thought of too, My car is always around same place, maybe it got scoped out by another 3rd gen owner. They tried there key and low and behold it worked. Making me insane trying to think of all the possibilities.
