ok, i need some help, its real simple. i just need the wiring harness color codes to a sony deck. they're all the same arent they? i'm having a problem getting my aiwa deck working with my sony harness, the sony wiring seems to tell the aiwa deck to stay muted no matter what i do, its real annoying since the sony deck blows goats. if anyone can help me, please do.

So you're saying your Sony wiring harness actually *plugs into* your Aiwa deck? It shouldn't even fit!

Anyways, here's what my Sony M600 has for wiring:

Blue/white stripe: Amp remote
White-White/Black: front left
Gray-Gray/Black: front right
Green-Green/Black: left rear
Purple-Purple/Black: right rear
Black: ground (duh)
Blue: Antenna remote
Red: +12V power
Sky Blue: ATT (car phone interface)
Yellow: Memory (constant +12V)
Orange/White stripe: Illumination

Sounds like you have your sky blue wire plugged into the wrong wire, causing the deck to mute...

thanks man, its a real old sony CD deck, i'll get the number tomorrow. i thought it was wierd that my friends (now stolen) JVC deck plugged into his sony harness with only the balance being backwards.
