VE power planning?

VE power planning?
Well by the end of the year I plan to get a 92-94SE 5sp for some more fun over my 90SE auto.
Now I am not making any commitments right now, however I thought I might as well make a thread that other people can get some info on the general subject...a mastermind of such.
First off, what kind of power can the VE handle on stock internals? Weakpoints? Or to make it easier, how much would it cost to get a VE to 300-350HP N/A? Turbo/SC? Would I be better off with the VG engine (since it might have more aftermarket available...again not sure I am just starting to research this)?
It is between the 92-94 Maxima with a lot of mods done to it or a stock BMW e49.
Again, I am just doing some planning for the next few months. Any thoughts or ideas are more then welcome!

All of my comments are for the VE -- not VG.
You are probably not going to be able to get up to 300 hp NA. I think even with NA 300zx pistons, you won't get there. I think with just about every bolt in in existence you would only get a little over 200 hp at the wheels.
Turbo applications have to be totally fabricated. There are a couple of brave souls that have pulled it off. It seems like a lot of work and you need some skills. I would think it is an easier route to do this on a VG, but Brad92SE or MaxTuned can probably argue against it. hehe
I don't think anyone has supercharged a 3rd gen that I can recall.
Probably the biggest weak point is going to be the transmission. It seems like a lot of people that have modded VEs eat up input shaft bearings.
