there are 5 wires in the main ignition harness
+12V
ACC
IGN
Start1
Start2

I can't remember the colors off hand, but it'd be pretty easy to test. If not, search on here, I've posted a pretty detailed writeup that has everything you need (not on my site though).

Thanks Guys I took the spark plug wires off and cranked the engine while testing volts on each terminal and I found the two wires that need to be hot !

Does anyone know if the 89 se maxs were prewired for the electric trunk pop?

I am installing one and would like to know

Thanks !!!!!!!1

Ok I am trying to find a easy place to tap the light blue unlock wire and the Grey/red lock wire ......I know a good place would be the door lock timer module but I forgot were the stupid box is located Could someone tell me where it is exactly ..........

I can't believe I hooked up the remote start easier and faster than finding the stupid lock unlock wires !!!

Thanks Guys!!

Well I couldnt get a wire inside the to work to lock unlock the doors so I tapped the wires in the door and ran a wire into the car..... ....But the good news is I got the lock unlock to work and the remote start works !!

I still have to wire the trunk pop relay and and mount the trunk pop solonoidin the trunk area but I'll save that for next weekend!!
