Rack and Pinion replacement

Ok linking to this thread http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=489101 where I have odd symptoms in acceleration, I got the Nissan report.

Theyre saying the rack and pinion is no good and leaking, as well as the power steering pump and the pressure line.

So I can see the pressure line, and it looks a little drippy. But the pump? Havnt looked far enough in to trace it. And the rack and pinion?

If they say the pump is bad is that for sure? Or is there a way to check? Other than turning. Because it turns good, can always be better. But I dont know how much better.

So anyways, the MechHead said to go with a remanufactured Rack&Pinion.
Where can I get one? and can I get the pressure line and pump online as well?

Has anyone replaced these components? And are there any pictures or how-to's. I'm not dishing out 2-3k for that repair. I'll save that for new struts, Etc..

the theory is that when you have a leaking line, chances are you've run it very low a few times and damaged the seals on both the rack and the pump.
also if they have you replace it all at once chances are you won't have a problem with the steering.

BTW, I do sell all the above mentioned parts. If you can't find them on my site, let me know. my site has some issues that I'm working on, so I'm not sure how much of my catalog made it up there www.internetautosupply.com (I'm going to sell internetautomart.com domain name soon)

Guess what. I cant find anything on your site. All search results give me negative results. And I dont know part numbers.

I need, F/R valve cover gaskets.
High pressure line for steering
power steering pump
Reman rack & pinion assembly
Full set of KYB struts
Idle control valve
oil pressure sensor
oil pan gasket

Hmm.. what else do I need..
Oh yea, that popout tray that goes under the HU.
I also need two of those window gaskets for the front windows, the one that pops up into its housing within the outline of the door. I was told $60 each.. Theres gotta be a better price than that...

If you could give me prices per each in line item format. Thatd be great!
Oh yea, and throw in the best steering fluid used on these Maxis, as much as I will need to fill the system, + 1 extra bottle.

Perhaps this is a browser problem of some kind. I try to login and it doesnt accept the only password i use for everything. Ok. So I use the forgot password feature. Get the pass and plug it in, 10 times. No go. Argh.
