I need some advice, in the morning i start my max and it idles good but when i go to drive it as i hit the gas it feels very jumpy and kinda hesitant. like its not getting enough air or gas or something. after a few min it goes away. only happens when first started or sitting for long periods. i have replaced the fuel filter and pcv valve. now i am getting the same prob still. im no mechanic but im not guessing injectors, cause it would get worse as it gets warmer , right??? any other things i should check?? http://www.geocities.com/maximumdrop

Could be your alternator...

Try starting the car a couple times with NOTHING on... no stereo, air, heat, lights, etc... and see if it still happens as much. If not, its probably the alternator because i was experiencing the same thing along with power window problems, stereo issues, etc before i switched the alternator.

I just took it to a reasonable mom and pop type shop and they hooked me up. I paid more for the alternator then i would have at AutoZone or Advanced but mine isnt a refurb its a new part. So i know it wont die in a year.

Just ask around where you are for a reputable shop, the dealer wanted like 410 for the job total, i paid about 195 to get it all done.
