Help! Amps slowin' me down?
#1
Here's the situation...
92 SE would not start this afternoon, with no earlier signs of battery drain. It was sitting for about 30 mins, no doors open or lights on, and when I went to start it I got nothing. Clock and radio turned on but the car did not feel like starting.
I tried to jump it, connecting cables to a friend's truck, but it still would not start. It was then I disconnected the fuse on the battery cable to my amps (250 and 150 watt RF). Car starts.
Not only does the car start, but it runs smoother. Much smoother. Seemed to hesitate on acceleration previously, for reasons unbeknownst (if that's a word).
If it makes a difference I had the battery replaced about six months ago.
Any advice anyone? Capacitor?
