Hey guys, are Xenon bulbs the same thing as halogens? I dunno, I didn't buy my new headlights at a performance store just AutoZone, but they look pretty nice.. have kinda a bluish tint to em like I wanted and stuff, but wondering if I have "Xenons".. anyone know if there is a difference?

 

Xenons are in HIDs, halogens are in 99% of the rest of the cars. You have halogens.

 

Err, no. My lights aren't just like everyone else's, but I guess you answered my question, cuz I know I don't have HIDs... seemed like kind of a snotty reply, can't really tell with out intonations and such though..

 

Didn't mean anything by it. Unless you bought a HID kit for your Maxima (which I assumed you did'nt because you stated you had bought 'bulbs), you HAVE to have halogens on your 3rd gen.
BTW, please don't take responses personally. Nothing that I stated was even remotely offensive.

 

Hmm, okay, my bad. I didn't know that all Maximas originally had halogens on em anyway, they look kinda regular with the yellowish light and everything.. thought they were just incandescents.

 

Halogen's are incandescent. All incandescent means is that something is burned in order to produce light.
