Max still has electrical issue

I'm back at the 90 Max SE trying to figure out the electrical problem, but so far to no avail. I did find a broken wire that was attached to the bolt/hangar on the front of the catalytic converter...any idea where the other end should attach to? Would this broken wire cause my car to blow the fuel pump fuse every time I try and shift into first or second gear? Any help as usual is appreciated!

No it will not effect your fuel pump. It is a ground for the 02 sensor !

Mabey your fuel pump wiring insulation has been worn through and is shorting out and blowing fuses>>>>....?

I have the back seats completely out of the car...and the wiring to the fuel pump looks fine. I have drained the tranny fluid and re-filled and it is still shorting out the fuse for the fuel pump whenever I push the stick to the left to put it into first or second gear.

Transfer case? This isn't 4X4chevy.org.

No,the sensor is in the back of the transmission, just follow the harness wire from the top down to it's end...
