thnx and i tested it and its fine. me and my friend (who is a mechanic) seem to think the crank angle sensor is dropping out on it. I need an ocsilliscope to test it though and i dont have one so ill have to figure something out. but duz anyone have any input on this? does anyone else think the crank angle sensor could be the culprit???

I just fixed my maxima. The problem ended up being the MAF. I used some Electronic cleaner and sprayed the elemint followed by blowing compressed air across the elemint. After words the problem was fixed. No more hesitation.
Hope this help others but it definetly worked for me.

did you check to see if you have continuinity in the harness connector to the coolant temp sensor? the black boot around the connector on my tore and was all corroded, i had to cut it off and directly connect the wires.
