It's Official: I'm Tired of Winter

I decided this weekend that I am tired of winter. Several reasons behind this: The Buick I'm driving is giving me some issues now, I spent $200 on a snowmobile track and there hasn't been any fresh powder in a week. but most of all, I started the Maxima up the other day after not touching it for three months and man, I miss driving it! The engine sounds so much better than a GM 3300. I miss my nice sound system and CD player. I'm ready for dry pavement. I'm jonesing for a high-speed Maxima road trip about now: windows down, warm air blowing, sound system blasting, speedo climbing past 100...Anyway, I'm counting the days until Maxus. A high-speed burn thru Wisconsin into Chicago is just what the Doctor ordered! Well, that's it for now, back to watching my snowmobile/trailer sales on e-bay!

I've got one more year of enduring winter, then I'm moving way the fck away from it!

Alothough the sun is shining right now and it is above freezing, so everything is getting extra sloppy...

Okay okay. Here's the deal!!! I am so sick and tired of this snowy, dirt filled trucks, salty windsheild, no grip having people in New England!!! Go RAVENS!!!!! I wish I could post attatchments so you people would know whar I am talking about.

I go to the grocery store to pick up some fresh vegitables for diner the other night. I'm in the store for 10 mins. 20 max. I am walking to my car and started to notice something different about it. Thank god I backed into the parking space like I always do because if I would have gotten home and came back out to the BIG *** DENT IN MY DOOR, I would have strangled my downstairs neighbor. !!!!! No Joke.I got a dent in the door about the size of a 19 inch rim. But you can clearly see that is is not a tire that has done this to my sexy I30 ! ! ! I cryed. Yes. Real men Cry when their car gets deformed ! ! ! !

I'm not only tired of winter, but I'm tired of winter in South Dakota. Hell... it doesn't even have to be winter and I'm tired of South Dakota. I went to go to Radio Shack in the local "mall".

I had just pulled up to T intersection which I had the right away. I stopped because the guy on the right look like he wasn't going to stop for the sign. He stopped and I was getting ready to go when the guy on the left took off in front of me... I about T-boned him. Then while driving through the parking lot, some lady tries to back into my truck. How she could not see me I have no idea. I drive a huge Ford F-250 Super Duty Long Bed... Copper, with a big ugly sticker down the sides. The only thing I could think of that screams "look at me" more than that is having the truck painted some form of Neon. I'm thinking green, orange, or even pink just so people could see me. Pink might cause some problems because I might get some rubber necker going "wtf" and watching my truck the entire time.

And the winters are even more fun, we have a bunch of California Transplants out here that have never seen snow before. And they traded their little itty bitty car for a huge SUV when they got out here...

...and THAT is why I moved from North Dakota, bro. Man, but I absolutely HATED the winters there. I mean, I've lived in some fairly cold places - born in Chicago, lived with my brother in Pittsburgh, lived in Germany - but there is no better "weather-related reality check" than having to go 45 days with every SINGLE day a double-digit below zero day!!

Just the thought of those days makes me appreciate the PNW more and more!!

Oh, and kcidmil - I think a big neon pink truck would attract a bit more than "rubberneckers", if you get my meaning...

We didn't get any snow at all until the middle of January, then got about a foot in about a week. Early last week people were wearing shorts. Then we got 21 inches over the weekend. Typical Wisconsin.
