Seat Belt Chime/Light

So my car is convinced the seat belts aren't connected when they are. It'll chime randomly and flash the light about every five minutes now. I read on Craig's page about the bypass trick on the sensors but that didn't work for me for whatever reason. I've heard there's a a wire you can cut on the TCU to make it go away but I'm having trouble figuring out which one with the FSM and I'd rather not just start chopping wires. Does anyone know which one it is? Thanks

you can remove the magnet from the clip that slides along the door and it will never chime again

you could also put a piece of electrical tape over the magnet and it shouldn't trip the sensor.

No I'd like to keep the chime because I use it for when my headlights are left on. When I did Craigs method it worked for awhile then it came back, the jumper wire probably just came out I'll try that again. And Yeah GreenMax I just ignore it as well but I have to explain it to everyone that gets in my car and I grow weary of it. They think the car is going explode.

I hate that sound whenever it goes off, it always surprise me while I was driving.

elusivemax93 , is there a way to do the same thing to disable the airbag red light? I have no ideas why it always goes on. Everything was plugged in. I could careless for it really. I just wanna get rid of it all together along with that annoying red light.

it is in the instrument cluster right behind where the airbag light displays on the dash. it looks like a small bulb with two wires coming out of it, one red and one black.

lolz umm last i remember when i removed my chim.the backing to the bulb that has all the wires built into the instrumental cluster. and like gdmaxse said juz remove the light bulb and thats it you wont be seeing that light again. but if you have air bags in your car its maybe wish that instead you fix that problem causing the light to turn on intermitently
