What's wrong with tail lights?

I noticed that my tail lights are not working when I turn on head lights. If I apply breaks, only right side light is working. Turning single lights are working fine.
I checked the bulbs. They are fine. I pulled a fuse that is under steering wheel (I looked at the index, it says 15A is back light), it seems fine. Any idea what's wrong? Thanks.

Test your fuse with a tester. They can look good, and still be bad. Check for relays, not sure if there are any involved with the tail lights. If that checks out, check sockets for corrosion, make sure ground connections are clean and tight, and test wiring at sockets for power. If you don't have power at the sockets, start tracing the wires back toward the front of the car, testing every so often to see if there is juice.

very likely that it's your tail light sockets like greenmax and tquick said. It's a pretty common problem on these cars. Search for more details

I had the same problem with an old vw rabbit, I checked all the wiring and it turned out to be a bad ground in the harness.
