Does Not Start In Cold Help Me!!!!!

Hi! I am writing to you about my maxima which will not start!!

It had an alarm when i bought it 2 years ago. One day it started ringing for no reason, I turned off and the car didn’t start. I went to a place to remove it and the car then started perfectly. The following day it didn‘t start. The battery is fine, the alternator is fine, I changed some things for new ones, cables, and so. I also checked the ECU and it was fine. The car started one time but again it didn't last. The problem is that it does not start in cold (after being out of use for about 7 hours or more) The starter works fine, the distributor too. The ignition coil is new. Fuel gets fine to the fuel pump. I have spent tons of money and the car doesn't start! What else could it be?

Thanks in advance!

Gustavo

I had an Infiniti that would start and die out when the motor was cold. Turned out to be a bad MAF.

MAF = Mass air flow sensor

You can test this sensor by unplugging it..Your engine will not rev over 2500rpm when it is unplugged...

What He showed above and no it's not the (I think you said) thermostat. This is a sensor that tells the engine computer the engine temperature .

Option A) take your car to a good mechanic

Option b) repeat your problem in spanish(en Espaniol ) and hope that one of these guys answering your questions are fluent in spanish.

* tomorrow i can have the sensor, I tried with the other aids.
* In the ignition the fuel arrives tipsy (spark)
* Which the fuel, I listen that it loads the bomb and in addition coat the hose to the gasoline filter and leaves gasoline when trying to ignite

If the air sensor (MAF) is bad, it should still start. if not un plug it. Disconnect it.

but you have spark/fire/ignition and fuel/gasoline and compression (engine turning) it should run. Maybe not good but it should run.

Check that you have spark/flame/ignition, and that its happening at the right time with a timing light.

Check that you have fuel/gasoline getting into the engine with a fuel pressure gauge. And you hear the injectors ticking. Put the handle of a screwdriver near your ear, and the tip near the injector.

Does not start – new information / pin out

The car will not start! No pulse reaches the injection. The remaining things work ok. Can anybody help me?
The mechanics needs to know the pin out of the injection control unit. Does anybody have it?

Thanks a lot!

What? Maybe a bad ECM if the the injectors aren't pulsing. Check the relays. Also it should not matter that mechainics don't know Maximas. Sounds like they just don't know how to work on cars. In the USA you don't take a Maxima to a mechanic and say do you know how to work on this?
