Side exit exhaust

Does anyone know if this would be possible?
I would want it to be a single exit on either the
driver or passenger side, right before the rear tire.
Post pics if you have 'em.

I see that on mostly trucks and hot rods my friend has that on his dodge dakota it sounds sweet to. but i dont think it would look right on a car or in particular a maxima but hey thats just my .02 everyone is entilted to there own opinion.

just let your passengers know that there's a scalding hot exhaust tip when they get out of the car

I think that's a fairly bad idea, unless you have a track only car. Even then, I would much prefer a cut-out, like Aaron has.

It would be annoyingly loud, with the sound coming right under the passenger compartment. If you want to hear a lot of decibels, just upgrade your stereo.

Not to mention, it's a Maxima, not any kind of hot rod.

I think the whole warpspeed setup is around $650 shipped. That includes the y-pipe, high flow cat, resonator and cat-back.

http://www.warpspeedperformance.com/nissan.htm

If you want to go cheaper, you can just get a y-pipe, then have a local shop put in a custom cat-back.

Adding only a muffler will do nothing for your car. Unless your muffler is totally rusted, the best thing you can do is add a y-pipe, even if the rest of your exhaust is stock. Other than the y-pipe, the stock exhaust flows well enough for the power your engine has.

You can't really install lowering springs without upgrading struts, too. The stock struts can't handle the lower height and you will blow them very quickly. You need KYB or Tokico at the minimum, with Konis being the best upgrade for struts.

Strut bars are cheap on ebay, like $20-$30. The other stuff is fairly cheap, too. I think for the VG, you might have to do a search for the CAI. I am only familiar with the VE ones.
