sluggish after long drives...

I noticed lately since I been doin more long drives my car doesnt get up and go like it used to. Short trips when car is cold i barely press in gas pedal and it will move, even when its "warm" but if Im driving far or been driving around a while, i have to floor it to get good acceleration.

I replaced the knock sensor, not the harness tho, couldnt get ahold of one.
is it possible its a defective sensor or the harness is ****ed up. or is there anything else that would cause sluggishness after being run a while and really hot?

The KS and harness would be the first guess. You might want to try to run the resistor to test it (not a permanent solution).

Do you have a CAI, pop charger or stock air box? If you have a pop charger or stock box, that hot air from the engine could be contributing. Just the really hot weather here lately (I know it has been around 100 in Boise) will slow your car down, same with running the AC.

Oh, if you have AC problems, I can lead you to an AC guy in Boise and if you tell him you know me, he might cut you a deal.

I'd test the temperature sensor also.

It's a 470k Resistor. You can get a pack at Radioshack for $1. Just bend it in a U-Shape and cram it in the harness. It may take a few days to find out. Also, make sure you have, and are running 93 Octane in the tank.
