This post is in response to what SkyMax said in the "Does anyone Know Whose Car This is???" thread. He said that we shouldn't keep just saying how it would be cool to have Euro lenses for our cars, but we should actually go and try to find a company that will make them. I am ALL for doing this but I need your help guys. Anyone that would be interested in doing this and getting this thing going please let me know. We need to find a company that would be willing to make these and we need to get enough people in order to get a company to consider it. Anyone who would be serious about doing this, just respond to this thread and lets get this thing going. Please let us know of any info that may help with the process of this project. I am willing to make calls and try to get things going but I need everyones help. Lets do this. Thanks guys. You can even e-mail me if you want to or IM me with any info. Later!

Companies and manufacturers...

Okay guys, we need to start coming up with a list of possible companies that might be able to get these things made. Once we do that we can start making calls and trying to see what we can do. If you are looking through mags and see a comp that produces them then hook it up on the forum and post it. I know of JKL Auto Accesories and Toucan Industries. I am not sure if they actually make them or just distribute them,if anyone knows that would be great. Thanks. Also some people are talking about the term "Euro Lights". The lights that I am talking about I have seen referred to as "Euro Lights" but they are actually more appropriately termed "Altezza" lights off of the Toyota Altezza in Japan or the Lexus IS300 in the US. That is the style I am talking about getting for our cars. Thanks again.

lights

yea I might be interested also, depends on what they look like, how hard it is to install, and if the price is right. Anyone know how much ones for other cars go for? I'd hope about $75.

when you get them to agree to make a new trunk piece with the tail lights let me know, cuz with euro or altezza lights and the same read trunk piece will look stupid i think.

If no trunk piece

One idea is to use the black center trunk piece from the '89-'91 SE with the Altezza style lights. I think it would look alright this way.

you'll need to contact a manufacturer or someone on this.. courtesy basically has nothing to do with producing stuff like this. I'm sure they'll probably stock them if someone would make them though.

As for prices, expect at least $200. I know clear tails for many othe rimports are $120- $200/set. Altezza type lights are going to be even more expensive than that. don't be surprised if you see someone asking $300 for them IF they'll even produce them.
