Hey guys, does anyone know why some people's hyperwhite halogens look so much brighter and bluer than mine? I paid $30.00 for a set of 2 and thought they would be good, but some people's on the street where most people cruise in Albuquerque have WAY better lights than me... what determines how good they are? I wanna buy better ones now...

ive got Showoff krypton/xenon bulbs (dont know if u can really have both gasses in the same bulb but..). they have a pretty bright white look to them, they make my clear corner bulbs look horrible in comparison, and in some angles they have a cool blue circle in the middle. i paid $25 i think, and im happy

i don't care what kind of bulbs you have i think the 3rd gen head light housing sucks. they have way too many lines thingies going through them which distorts the light. for example civic head lights (don't flame me, just using it as an example) has barly any lines at all. just clear glass and the lights go through them very well, also there is alot of chrome reflective crap in them too. unless you get bmw head light conversion or something to that effect our lighting will never be as bright as some other cars. just venting cause i want my lights brighter too.

Actually, it's probably the reflector itself that's determining the actual BRIGHTNESS of the bulb. Yeah, the bulb DOES have a lot to do with it, but not moreso than the reflector, I think. I just took a pic of my bulbs (which are CuZo's BTW) alongside PrinzII's Piaa's that I'll post up today or tomorrow. I think mine are pretty bright and I see the same issue that khrfadz sees - brighter up front, and bluish further out.
