Okay, as you can see I'm a newbie, new maxima owner as well. My Max feels quick, but since my last two vehicles have been trucks, I'm curious how my car measures up to what else is out there (and, yes, I do practice safe race). Someone posted about racing a '78 firebird and obviously that's not a good race. So, in general, what cars do you think are a good race? I've noticed, especially since I installed my eibachs (and decals ), that a few times people in Grand Am's have tried to 'test' me. Is there some Maxima/Grand Am rivalry I don't know about? And what's up with Honda Accord drivers?

Mostly Hondas....

riced up and super slow Civics and Accords...I won all except one against a 5spd Accord, but around my way once you leave the city and go into the "country" parts you have to be careful, cause the backwoods Honda boys are usually packing mad BOOST!!

Grand Ams??????
I raced one on a highway blew him off from the start on a red light then when we got on the high way i let him catch up to me, but not for long, I just downshifted hard and i saw him in my rear view (litelry speaking) Plus he had two huge bazooka exhausts and a wing that was probably larger then a 18 wheeler .
But thats just my race against a grand am, Im sure there are grand ams that are fast.

I race anything with an engine. j/k.. I usually dont instigate a race but I notice riced out cars do tend to pick on me for some reason.. My car looks like a factory 92 SE with the exception of some goodies I have.. I'm going to start carrying my digital camera with me since the funniest riced out cars I see our on my way home from work..

i don't like to race honduhs because they're all 4 bangers, basically. i try to race stuff that is about the same performance wise out of the box, like camry's, v6 accords, 4th gens, 626's etc. i think it's more fair that way. i will race riced out 4-bangers just to teach them a lesson.

re:accord drivers

My take is that they wanted a Maxima but for some reason couldnt get one and had to settle for the accord sorta like
Oreos and Droxys everybody wants an oreo but thell settle for a droxy. Its ussually the more ricey looking ones that are all bark and no bite its those stock looking sleepers that will pull it out on you so i ussually dont temp them I just cant stand them tempting me and i have to destroy them then the rest of the crew does the same. and its pretty sad when 10-15 cars whoop you.
