Gee, I hope so cause I've had mine on my 92 SE (auto) for over a year now. Oh yeah, my car has over 130,000 miles on it.

This reminds me of a question I had concerning NOS. I read on their website that NOS should be used above 2500 RPM for best results. Assuming that I shift my automatic manually at around 5500-6000 RPM, and assuming that I use NOS from 3000-5000 RPM, wouldn't the only wear and tear my transmission would feel be on the torque converter? Since I wouldn't be making the transmission shift while I was on NOS, the transmission itself wouldn't feel too much wear and tear. Am I right in these observations or completely off track?

Since forced induction not available without custom work I've been thinking about nitrous as a replacement. I have a auto like yourself, but with a VB upgrade and over 100K miles.

Actually no.. I did research a lot on getting a new fuel pump, ignition, plugs etc.. The only thing I did change was getting the Zex plugs which were specifically made for Nitrous use and getting the purge valve cuz they told me it would give you a clean shot and bleed out any moisture/stale NOS. I had planned on getting a new fuel pump but that was before I had to replace my exhaust stud bolts, heater hose, and get a new dash for my broken odometer. Ugghh.. Can I have some sympathy here..
P.S. I also plan on getting the VB upgrade when I finally save up some cash..

Did you do anything to prep your engine before the ZEX system. Colder plugs, retarded ignition, upgraded fuel pump, etc. Or did you just plug and play, how much increase are you running

Re: damn i want nitrous
Zex seems to be the most inexpensive, but JCwhitney had NOS kits on sale for $375 just last month! check impactparts.com, I think they are having a sale on Zex kits. if you have an auto I would suggest you get you transmisison valvebody upgraded, it will help preserve your trans with all the extra power added by the nitrous.

Depends what "shot" you use
25 shot= 25 hp........65 shot= 65hp and so on. since you're an auto a 50 shot "should" be safe and quite effective! should put you into the 14's(I think)
