My odometer stopped working this morning, but the speedometer (needle gauges) works fine. I can't find anything about this in the FSM. Does it run off of the same speed sensor as the speedo? If anyone has had success fixing this, I'd appreciate any advice.

Thanks!

The speed sensor feeds into the central speedo unit. This has a microprocessor on it that converts the signal for other devices such as the odometer and I assume the ECU. These units appear to go west at some stage in their life usually due to dry joints. I have resoldered my joints on the speedo PCB 3 times now and have extended its life by about 3 years, but have now had to finally replace it with another from the wreckers.

Brent.

Odometer problems

I too have the same problem. Can you give a detailed description of how to fix it? Mine has been out for about 6 months or more. When the time comes to sell would love to hook her back up. Thanks.
