I've seen a few 92-94s that have needed new ABS pumps. parts and labor ran about $700. not something you want to try and do yourself either.

I'm having ABS problems on my 91 SE auto with 199,100 miles, but I'm getting a code 6, that's for the left font wheel senor. My pump seems good, but for some strange reason, I have to keep topping off with break fluid. Pedal pressure is firm and solid. I just don't know where the fluid is going. Also I've heard that the ABS pumps can run as much as $1400 from nissan. I'll try and get my ABS fixed soon, I've had two recent close calls without it.

BTW, Matt that sure is won purdy red Max (country slackers voice). How does that compare to your old GXE? Just curious about how it is when going from a VG to a VE.

Yeah, I was checking the junk yards for a used sensor, but none of the maximas had ABS, and the only came on the SE's for the 3rd gens. But before I buy a sensor, I want to make sure it's actually the sensor and it's not just electrical. I hate to buy something new that I can't take back. I think it's strange that everyone's left sensor is going bad at the same time like that. Go figure
