People Why Should We Spend so much money on this older model Cars????? its not worth it Only Older Models of Maxima have the most problems.....People have to Many Complaints for 89-94 Maxima's somethin about the Exhaust.Muffler,Tranmission,Shifting,Digital Dash,AC,electrical........I never Heard a Complaint on Older Camrys......i had an 88 Camry My mom bought it new back then we sold it about 3 yrs ago it had 152,000 Miles on it Never had an Muffler, exhaust,Electrical,AC,Tranmission, shifitng only had 2 minor problems at 125,000 Miles we changed the Ignition Switch, and at 130,000 we changed the Alternator....within the 9 yr period we onlyhad those 2 issues,,,,,and it wasnt a major issue i think Accord's And Camry's Quality's are 10000000xxx much better,,,,Maxima's Are FAST no doubt about it thier good fast cars but to many Mechanical defects...they are using Low end quality stuff when they make the car il bet u all anything

part of the problem with maximas are the fact that they do have a lot of power and they are "ragged out" by lots of hard driving. people usually abuse cars that have more power. as for the accord comment, i've driven/ridden in many accords, and i can tell you that those cars are pieces of junk!!!

Well I'll say this........

yes Maxs have their share of probs, but what 10+ year old car doesn't have some mechanical funtion in its lifetime, especially when "pedal mashing" guys/girls like us are driving!?!?!?

as for a well driven Maxima, (notice the "MAYBEs" expect to spend MAYBE $1500 for the trans and MAYBE $7-800 for exhaust studs if they break other than that the car is gonna last you a lifetime if taken care of right!

as for Accords being crappy.....I think not! my friends '86 Accord has 200k+ miles on it and the only prob he has had was a blown clutch and hole in the radiator a few months back...other than that, it runs like a charm, but SLOW as all hell, but then again its not built for power like a Max!
not that the cars should be compared in any way, but all in all I bet you'll find less Accords and Civics in the shop than Maxs and Camrys..... just my $.02!
