2 Stereo questions- opinions
I just recieved my Ebayed Eclipse 5342r CD player today. I plan to do a stereo install in the next couple of months. Something w/ a good front stage. I don't plan to put much into the rear, but I have a pair of Eclipse 6x9's in the rear, which I'll probably change cause 1 is rattling (not bad though).
1st question: Should I use radio power for the rear, or go w/ the factory non-Bose?
2nd Q: Soon I plan to install my Rockford FNX 6.5 in the door, making rings the way Matt93SE described, however, I don't want to go to the extreme that he went to to seal the map pocket. I just plan to install, and add some sound deadening to the door. Should I go through the trouble of sealing the door and running it in an Infinite Baffle(which may come out questionable because I've never done anything like that B4), or use a foam baffle to seal the back wave, to maintain as much bass as possible?

1. use radio power..bypass the non-bose. the clarion amp sucks compared to what's inthe eclipse.
2. the baffles are easy to make with some wood, glue, drill, and a jigsaw.
look at these:

took me about an hour to make.
also try sealing off the holes in the door panel..

made a huge difference. I never got around to doing the left door like that, and you could easily tell a difference in bass response between right and left doors.
