i took my AC belt off to change it and discovered that the part store had given me the wrong one. so i just left it off. since i have actually noticed a bit more pickup. I just thought i'd mention this.

one less pulley to turn, so you 'free' up horsepower. you can see gains from a lighter underdrive pulley.

 

Less work for the engine=a few more hp to the wheels.

 

Well since it's winter, say by-by to any type of defrost because the defrost uses the ac to dry the air.

 

defrost is for sissies, open the sunroof! :0) (j/K)

 

1. To have some extra hp and to extend the life of the AC drive... good. But please don't forget that it's very important to turn the AC on about once a week to lubricate it's internal parts with the cooling agent (it's also a lubricant).
2. Defrosting system automatically turns AC on ONLY IN ONE POSITION (direction) - when air is directed ONLY to the windshield. Other positions don't use the AC to dry the air. So if the air humidity in your region is not excessively high, don't worry about. I usually choose "to windshield and legs" direction, and it works good.
