Ok, heres the deal. Can someone tell me what model my max is? I know its not an SE. Options on it are as follows: Power- leather seats,sunroof,locks,trunk,windows,and mirrors. Black gauges w/ white lettering (120?speedo).Its not on the title and the first owner doesnt know. It says on the title that they paid 19,500 in 1991. Guesses anyone? GXE..GLE?

not really; 3rd gens are different than 4th and 5th
I wouldn't really call a 3rd gen GXE base

in 4th and 5th: gxe=base, gle=luxury, se=sport basically

for the 3rd gens (in US) there were just SE and GXE
SE was more sport oriented, GXE was more luxury oriented while you could get options for either to make them pretty comparable

there are some other trim lines in other countries for 3rd gen maximas, but thats another story

 

as craig said, it's definitely a GXE...

but the GXE in our cars can be either the base or the luxo model..

mine was the base model.. no frills at all.. manual cloth seats, no bose, "regular" climate control, no sunroof, no abs..


my uncle's 93 GXE is the "luxo" model..

power leather seats + shifter + steering wheel cover, ABS (4-wheel discs), sunroof, bose, digital climate control, etc etc... it's got allll the goodies.
