front oil seal

I recently got a job offer to change the front oil seal(leaks over a quart a day) on a maxima(pretty sure its 3rd gen not sure what year though). how hard is it to change one of these things? Just looking at it it looks like the motor would have to be pulled am I right? so how much do you think this job would be worth?

Re: front oil seal

Check whether its a VG engine or VE engine. VG engine = hard, you have to pull the timing belt off, VE easier since the seal is right behind the crank pulley. Since I have a VE, I'll share for a VE.... front oil seal is cake, I could do it in 30 minutes or so. just remove right front tire, jack car up, remove(loosen) the three accessory belts, take an impact wrench to the pulley bolt and pull off the pulley and you can get right to it.
