aahh!! indiglo problems (long)

okay i installed the indiglo's. i thought i did a pretty clean job too. this is what i did. took apart the dash and all, to get the cluster out. took the cluster out, took the clear and black things off, put the indiglo's on, wired them up, put everything back together, and now i got problems...

1. (fixed)

2. (fixed)

3. (fixed)

4. (fixed)

5. (fixed)

6. (fixed)

7. Indiglos only work when key is either in OFF or not in the ignition.

8. (fixed)

so far, that's it. i hope i don't find any more problems...

4. power windows don't work, except for the driver's window.

5. speedometer doesn't move.

6. tachometer moves a little bit. (i know they can move around because after i put the indiglo's on, i tapped the needles and they moved.)

so far, that's it. i hope i don't find any more problems...
WOW! that really sucks man. I hope you didn't mess with the needle otherwise you're gonna have to get them recalibrated. I hope i could help you out but i'm not really sure.. what kinda car you got? GXE or SE?

then you should be fine with the needles, I moved the tach and speedo needle a lot while I was installing mine, and everything works fine for me. Check the connections in the back, there're three. Make sure the connectors are clean.

its for the O/D off light. i guess you have a 5 speed. the install was easy. the only problem i have now is that the gauges turn off when i put the key in ACC or ON, which means i can't drive at night. but that's just a wiring problem, and i'm gonna try to fix it tomorrow after school. i figured out the window problem... when taking stuff apart/putting stuff back together, i acidentally hit the power window lock button... lol

Is it possible to put the 145mph gauges in my GXE that has stock 120mph gauges?
Also are these the gauges off of Ebay that you guys are talking about?

ur needle would be telling you the wrong speed... so if you're going 35 it might say sometjhihg higher or lower...so basically no

If you have the electronic speed sensor on your Maxima then you can swap the gauges. The calibration of the gauges is done at the gauges themselves and the GXE and SE autos both use the same speed sensor (The 5 speeds use a different sensor I believe - due to the transmision differences). So if the calibration on the gauges you are putting in are correct then you should be fine.

Brent.
