I'm thinking about selling the VG. I'm getting tired of it being slow and the engine is temper mental. Im pretty sure i would demod it and sell it since its still a decent looking car and all. Im thinking about getting a 240 or something to drift or maybe a nice VE or 4th gen...

Any input or suggestions is welcome/appreciated.

Buying a Ve will not save you engine trouble. Learn to fix what you have or buy something else.

Well concerning the drifting some dumb*** says he is going to turn a 3rd gen into a drift car, RWD and all...

But idk i think I'm just going to keep it till i go to college... then i will probably sell it.

 

get an s13 and put a vq in it, but don't build it for drifting

 

I say drift bull**** simply because this is the MAXIMA.org a group of fwd sedan drivers. If you want to sell your car, put in the for sale section.

I personally love drifting, watching it, too poor to build another car at the moment, one day would love a 240 for gripping instead of drifting because I know I would never COMPETE. etc...

I wouldn't want to drift because I like racing and I don't like buying tires ALL the time, but do what ever you like.

I laugh at people who think a 240 is only for drifting...

A 4th gen would also be a fun car to have.

I do both drift and grip in my 240, there really isn't that much difference. Mainly in driving style. With adjustable struts or coilovers its easy.

As for tires I just get free tires from tire places. I just get pairs of them and mount them on extra rims. And next year I'll have autox only tires and drift only tires. Really that hardest part is finding grassroots level events for drifting. Autox is easier to find depending on the area.

Maybe you can just keep the nicer maxima and put the nitrous on that? And get a better (for DD) clutch and you'd be set.

well yea all supras had the inline 6, adapted from the cressida line. I consider myself a huge supra fan, so yes brian, also let me know the details....

Must you have a race car? why dont you just use the VG as DD and VE as beast? What is wrong with the VG? how many miles? hows the body on it?
