Why a GXE? Why not a VGSE, or a VE shell that still has its harness?
Granted, if labor is not an issue, I'd have the GXE... for the keypads, and just put an SE or better suspension underneath it, keep the higher-assistance GXE PS pump if possible onto the VE engine, and put the VE into it... But if simplicity is the goal I'd look for a VE with a dead motor locally.
