has the philosophy of hotrodding changed with the newer cars? used to be chrome makes it go fast, but now it seems that stickers do the job better on these imports...

Thanks for the pics.

You need a drop

I have been super busy and haven't talked with my friend. I had training, then people came and looked at our house (for sale) yesterday and today. Tomorrow, I am going out of town for the weekend. Still up in the air as to what I am going to do.

no sense in taking what you don't want/need, wait for the cash.

I am out of town now (free wireless at the hotel ftw) but I will talk with him later next week.

I am leaning toward the motorcycle as a way to possibly save gas long term. I live close to work and it is a PITA to warm up either my Maxima or my diesel truck to drive 2 miles into town. I would walk or ride a bicycle, except I live up a big hill. I think if I took care of it, the bike definitely would not be worth less than what I am getting it for. It might even go up in value a little.

The wheels are out. I don't think I want to bother with them for the Maxima.

If he doesn't want to part with the bike, I will wait for the cash, then maybe try to buy a scooter, like an old Honda Spree or something.

MO PED!!!!! who cares what you look like. Gas is bull**** price, you'll save alot for that short traveling, probably takes as much gas to warm up the max than it does to get on a moped and actually get to your 2 mile away destination. Or get the one from Rob and Big forget the name of it.

get at least a 150cc scooter. they can do real speeds and are just as good on gas.

mo peds are no fun unless it's all city (sub 35mph) driving.

The fastest speed limit between my house and my work is 30 mph. As long as the scooter could get up the hill I live on, I would be fine with it.

In Oregon, anyone with a driver's licence can drive a vehicle <50 cc. If it's over 50 cc, you need a motorcycle endorsement and have to go to DMV and take a test. I would almost rather just get a Spree than head down to DMV.

If all you have to go is 30mph then something 50cc should be fine. We just purchased a 2003 49cc Honda Ruckus from my Uncles Landlord that he was getting rid of before they moved. Picked it up for $200

It only has 4,9xx Miles too! It needed a tune up, was dirty and it looked like it had some paint scrapes on the back bar. So after a few man hours it look and feels almost like a brand new Ruckus. It tops out at around 35mph with me on it (160lbs)

BUT... With two of my friends on it, it goes the same speed... So I am thinking it is just governed.

Anyway, it's a neat little scooter... I like it better than the gay looking one's.

don't know much about the 50cc or less class scooters.we started with 150cc and have gone up from there. I don't ride one because I play chauffeur.

Yeah I know. I couldn't find a current shot of yours lowered that matched well for chopping in the rims. Even lowered though, I don't think I'd be in to the look of these gold rims on your red car. Your current rims own these in comparison.

+1, I think they're just god awfully ugly. I always imagined some nice clean 17" BBS on your car as an upgrade wheel. But I like the stock 97-99SE's over the ugly gold one's.
