I have a 92 GXE and the spedometer broke so i have to put in a new one anyway...is there any way to get the gauges from what they are now (green) to blue? and if so where can i buy this?

Your local chain auto parts(autozone/advanced auto) store has several different colors of 194 bulbs to choose from.

I changed mine to red a few months ago..

you know those reverse glow are not gauges right.hey are faces that lay over your existing ones so you are still going to need to replace the gauge if it is bad.

if you have had your cluster out before and didn't find it hard, then no. If you haven't, then just keep track of all the screws and you'll be fine. Remove lower dash panel, then the one where the cruise/dimmer/defrost switches are, then the one where the radio and climate control stuff are, then the big black one with 3 of the 4 vents, then the cluster. unplug stuff as you go but don't worry, each plug is unique to its switch/clock/whatever so you can't mess it up. Pull the cluster out and the large burgundy light holders are the backlighting.

Alright im going to have to try this later, ill try and see how i do just taking apart the dash before i bother buying the lights...Thanks again for the help.

and what if i already have my new speedo out that i want to make blue??

either just pop the colored bulbs into the light sockets on the cluster or get white bulbs and get some blue tinted cellophane to put on the back of the gauges. bulbs are much easier, but less customizeable (for example if you want blue on parts, but, say, red on other parts, cellophane offers more creative flexibility)

blue 194s are what you're looking for.

yeah they are in the larger burgundy shaped twist-sockets. lefty loosey righty tighty, and the bulbs themselves just press straight into the sockets.

i couldn't tell you, since the only time i had blue was in SE gauges. even those though are a bit cyan-ish. so it may be pretty much straight jungle green, or it may be moreso blue. You'll just have to wait and see. It is possible that purple and green will make blue though. Just like red and green make amber. I'd suggest getting one pair of blue, and one pair of purple, test to see which is bluer behind the green, then go back and get 2 more of the one that works best.
