balljoint greasing

Hey, I purchased a new lower control arm that should go on tomorrow if all goes well, it came with a grease valve but problem is I don't have a grease gun atm. Will it last 1 trip or at the most a couple of days of prelim driving till I get a grease gun? thanks.

remove the bushing in the back. turn it 180 degrees and put it back on.
Flip the ball joint over on the other side.

Voila! now it's a driver's side control arm!

no, no! the rear one will come off with a little muscle, and can be put back on with a little less. greeny (i think) gave an example of using momentum to hammer it on. gimme a minute to find a link.

edit:
bushing replacement thread
http://forums.maxima.org/3rd-generat...eplacement.htm

scanning the thread, I do not see what I was talking about, but it goes something like this:
pull the bushing off.
reposition the bushing so it is 180* from original position, and get it on as far as you can. if it isn't on all the way, hammer it on by holding the top(front side on the car) and slamming the bushing into the ground (on something hard, like your concrete driveway, or a wood block, whatever). quicker than sending it back, and with good results.
the hard part is getting it off, but can be done.

1. no point in sending it back. they're going to send another identical one back to you since that's the only way they come.

2. you don't need a press to do it. hand tools only required.

Can you read? I said tools would be required.
get yourself a pulley puller and go to town with it.

ya know what? nevermind. just put the parts down.
Drive your car to the dealer and ask them to fix it. you and everyone you drive near will be safer if you pay a professional to do this for you.

sorry for the inundations of questions, first time doing something like this and if it were anything like computers i'd know it like the back of my hands, but this is a tad advanced for me and I'm trying to learn to keep my money in my pocket and not the mechanic's / stealerships.
