There are plenty of write-ups out there. In a nut shell: (partially - no need to remove all fluid) drain tranny, remove wheels, remove brakes, then take the (36mm) axle nuts off. Passenger side has a bracket with 3 bolts in it. Remove those. P/S will slide right out, GENTLY pry with flathead screw driver at mating surface to get D/S out (held in with a type of snap ring)...Installation is just doing all this in reverse.

Passenger side has a bracket with 3 bolts in it. Remove those. P/S will slide right out if the bracket and carrier bearing aren't seized together, GENTLY pry with flathead screw driver at mating surface to get D/S out (held in with a type of snap ring)...Installation is just doing all this in reverse.
No, that would put the car out of alignment (specifically camber). The step I forgot about was to remove the 3 nuts holding the ball joint to the control arm (or separate the ball joint -more hassle IMO).
or that. the only method i was told about was the strut one... but my car doesn't have an alignment anyways, so it didn't matter so much for me to do it that way. next week... next week will be different.
