Sounds of Water
turn on your heater so the coolant can circulate thru the entire system and remove any air bubbles trapped in your heater core! Top off your coolant system and don't forget your water pump lube or Wetwetter!
Every time after I flushed the cooling system, I heard the same sound. It's air in the cooling system. It always went away after some driving with the heater on high setting. I've since learned not to flush in the summer.
Yeah, it could be low coolant or even air in the system. I did have the gurgling/trickling sound once and it turned out that my heater core was clogged up. Could be either, but yeah, I would try getting out trapped air first.
I've noticed that same noise, but it's been some time since my car has been out commission for a while and I live in Florida. I did notice that last year when it was cold I would hear that noise and the heater wouldn't get warm/hot. I think it must be air in the heater core from when I flushed the system back when, like the other guys said.
Question, will the heater bleed itself if run on high or, if I remember hearing correctly, do I need to elevate the front end of the car as much as possible and then run the heater so all the air can escape?
