how much torque do i need for the crank pulley?
#2
to get it off or to put it back on?
putting it on, just crank that sob down. the problem is that the engine will turn before you get it very tight.. if you have an impact wrench, just set it kinda light and zap it down and be done with it. that bolt is HUGE so you won't have a problem overtorquing it.. the only problem is getting it off without turning over the engine.

Thats good Dave. I made a poor man's strap wrench from one of the old fan belts wrapped around the pulley, and then bent backwards on itself, and looped it around a bolt in the front of the engine. Its the best!
