you drove it for a year with rod knock? i've seen a car with rod knock last a month... but not a year. tho the first rod knock i encountered only lasted about 2 hours: http://s164.photobucket.com/albums/u...probe/elantra/

shame on you for not changing the oil tho.... but i guess it just shows how gangsta nissans are that it'll go that wrong with a bad bearing...

why would I change the oil on a blown motor?
I checked it to make sure it was full, which it always was.

are you friggin serious? you're required to have red turnsignals in the back? that's nuts... i was even planning to convert my grandpa's oldsmobile to use amber signals in the rear (albeit crude.... but safety first!). tho the flasher on it is kinda crappy so i was gonna steal the one off my parts car. personally the 89-91 electronics are >>>>> the 92-94 cuz the flasher unit has relays inside itself.. you don't have to use them when doing, ahem, 'custom' wiring like i am gonna do once my other headlights are on.

that makes no sense. turn = blinker.
unless you are saying front signals are turn and rears are blinkers.
